YTD Should Be Included, But Check to be Sure
by: Best Business Payroll

We can't tell you for sure if the correct Year to Date information will be on your employee's pay stubs. What we can tell you for sure is that if your new Payroll Provider is doing your W-2's at the end of the year, they do have the data necessary to include the accurate YTD info on your check stubs--but it is not a guarantee that that information will be included.

This is a question you should definitely ask your Payroll Provider. Instead of asking your salesperson, call the company's customer support to see if that information will be included. If the answer is no, you might reconsider making the move to this Payroll Provider.

These days, virtually all Payroll Providers take the YTD info from your old company and make sure that information balances so they can be sure what they file at the end of the year for you makes sense.
